Tunes on Tuesday
So after going back and forth on what song I was going to post first I decided to do Nickleback's "If Today Was Your Last Day". I think Nickleback is a great band and their songs are really good. I heard this on the radio and it really made me think. What if today was my last day? What would I do?
Here is the link to uTube so you can heat the song {I couldn't get it to down load} and here are the lyrics...
My best friend gave me the best advice He said each day’s a gift and not a given right Leave no stone unturned, leave your fears behind And try to take the path less traveled by That first step you take is the longest stride
If today was your last dayand tomorrow was too late Could you say goodbye to yesterday?Would you live each moment like your last? Leave old pictures in the past Donate every dime you have? If today was your last day
Against the grain should be a way of life What’s worth the prize is always worth the fight Every second counts ’cause there’s no second try So live like you’ll never live it twice Don’t take the free ride in your own life
If today was your last day and tomorrow was too late Could you say goodbye to yesterday?Would you live each moment like your last? Leave old pictures in the past Donate every dime you have? Would you call old friends you never see? Reminisce of memories Would you forgive your enemies? Would you find that one you’re dreamin’ of? Swear up and down to God above That you finally fall in love If today was your last day
If today was your last day Would you make your mark by mending a broken heart? You know it’s never too late to shoot for the stars Regardless of who you are So do whatever it takes ‘Cause you can’t rewind a moment in this life Let nothin’ stand in your way Cause the hands of time are never on your side
If today was your last day and tomorrow was too late Could you say goodbye to yesterday?
Would you live each moment like your last? Leave old pictures in the past Donate every dime you have? Would you call old friends you never see? Reminisce of memories Would you forgive your enemies? Would you find that one you’re dreamin’ of? Swear up and down to God above That you finally fall in loveIf today was your last day
What would you do if today was your last day???

A quiet Sunday Afternoon
So now picture the husband on a step ladder trying to vacuum up the bee that was on the window sill that is to high for anyone to reach. {That was my idea} All of us are still screaming and trying to tell the husband which way the bee went. In the end it flew to a higher window and buzzed around before getting tired and quit. The husband said it was dead but I dreamed about it last night, and come to find out it was still alive, I saw it flying around a different window this morning.
...And now for my hilarious children....
Tommy has been really funny lately and here are some of the conversations we've had and the things that he has said....
me: Tommy, what are you eating?
T: mom... the chocolate just walked into my mouth!
T: Mom, there is darkness in my heart.
Me: Really?! why?
T: There is darkness in my heart so I can kill the bad guys
Me: Tommy you are a mess!
T: I'm just decorating with my dinner.
T: I have to wear the bucket on my head.
Me: Why?
T: So I can put stuff under it.
{I love his reasoning for everything}
And here is one from James {his prayer last night}.... I guess he is listening in Primary...
J: Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for this day, and that we could go to church. Please help us not to drink alcohol, and to keep our bodies healthy. In the name of Jesus Christ Amen.
I hope all of you are keeping your bodies healthy too.

Consider yourself warned...
I swear.... it seems like everyone calls the house at 7:00pm, which is when we are putting the kids to bed... to talk for like an hour! I mean really people... let us get the kids down and then I don't care how long you talk to him. But the boys like to have their dad there for scriptures and prayers.
So please.... wait until 7:32 before picking up the phone to call this house.
{thank you}

A happy chocolate birthday
The indestructible pinata
Finally it was opened. {the kids were happy, that the men were finally strong enough to break it open}
Tommy, I love you! You bring so much joy to my life. I love the special relationship we have. Tommy I hope that you forever keep the zest of life that you have right now, and are able to continue to have the happy out look on life that you do now.
Here is the song that totally explains Tommy's birth from Steve's perspective. "The day you were born." Grab a tissue, it's a beautiful song. I really love this song so I'm going to write the lyrics.
"The Day You Were Born" by Jr Schultz
It's 3am and I'm wide awake, They say I'm going to be a daddy today, but I can't be there, And my heart is torn. A million thoughts running through my head, Wonder if I'll be a good dad, You know I ain't never done this before.
I heard you cry, and I couldn't help to shed a few myself, But I'm smiling through the tears, The world stood still as I held the phone, And suddenly I wasn't alone, And all those miles seem to disappear.
And I'm 7,000 miles away, And all I can do is pray,To God that every things going to be alright, All alone I'm walking the floor, Surrounded by this war, That's where I was the day that you were born.
Now I don't mean to come off like I'm, Feeling sorry for myself, But some times it don't seem fair, Daddy's running off left and right, And I'm stuck here tonight, When all I want, Is to be there.
And I'm 7,000 miles away, And all I can do is pray, to God that every things going to be alright, All alone I'm walking the floor, Surrounded by this war, That's where I was the day that you were born.
When I finally close my eyes at night, Drifted off into a dream, It was as real as a dream could be, I picked you up and held you close, Then suddenly I wake up to reality.
And I'm 7,000 miles away, and all I can do is pray, To God that every things going to be alright, All alone I'm walking the floor, Surrounded by this war, That's were I was the day that you were born.... You've been my son since the day that you were born.
Happy 4 years Tommy, I look forward to lots, and lots more with you!!

A thankful vacation
*I'm thankful for the simple pleasures that children can find in anything
*I'm also thankful for that Tim bowled with us.... that way I'm not a total loser.
*I'm sure after this Eliza is thankful that she is an Aunt {and not mom} to these boys {and she is a great one at that!!}
*Tommy is thankful for turkey legs
*James is thankful for chocolate ice cream
*Tim is thankful for Eliza. She carried him all around the park. {It's like carring around 30 pounds of dead weight}
*The boys are always thankful for puddles. No matter where we are they have to step in it.
*Tommy is thankful for super heroes
*Steve is thankful for duct tape. {Our weather stripping came off.... so Steve is not so thankful for Sierra Vista Glass}
*And I'm thankful for Arizona sunsets. You can't beat the sunset of home. And really desert sunsets are amazing.
I am so thankful that we are all safe and that no major disasters happen. I'm thankful for the happy memories I have.
Not the happiest place on earth
After spending 3 days at Disneyland, we went to Legoland. I don't know if we were theme parked out, or being tired, or the weather or what but Legoland for us was rather a disappointment. The boys were to short for most rides. And the park smelled bad....
But first things first we get into the park and immediately the boys have to pee.... Of course!! And after that, we visited the life size lego creation of Darth Vader.
James was excited to be a Jedi.
Tommy wanted to steal the light saber
And I don't really think Tim knew what was going on. He just wanted to be like his brothers.
This is the first ride we went on. It really stunk.... like smelly... I don't know if it was because we were by the water or what. Tommy rode with me and Jame with Steve, they had fun... and Tim was with Eliza.
This is a great picture that Eliza took of Tim. The first picture Eliza took with my camera she got a picture of my boobs... So she has come a long way... Good job Eliza!!
Here is Tommy on the jousting horse.
I think Tim was just enjoying the scenery
Now Tim looks like he is ready to joust.
Steve and Tim
So there was one cool thing, and that was the lego display that were there. Here is one of the beach and the killer bird that was attacking the beach. There were lego displays of all the major sites around the U.S.A. There was displays of New York, Chicago, San Fransisco it really was neat.
It was actually pretty amazing what you can do with legos.
Here is the Excalibur {with legos!!!} I loved it!
Here is the "Wedding Chapel" in Vegas. And just in case you can't see it....
Here is the old guy and the blond in the tube top. {I guess he needed a side dish}
All in all I think we were all done. oh, oh....AND.... the churros were more expensive at Lego Land than at Disneyland!!!!
I think it might have been better if the boys were a little older and we weren't so tired. It was fun to hang out together, and I'm glad that I get to mark this off my list of theme parks.

The happiest place on earth
James loved having a map. He was really excited when he could fine where we were at. {hopefully he has better navigational skills than his mom}
James looks so funny in this picture, but he is there standing next to Dale. Tim did not want to look at me so Eliza is making him.... {promise.... there is no choking going on}
This is a really good picture of James. In a close up you can see his freckles. I have to say I love my boys' eyes. All of them have big eyes.
Tommy taking a turn.
And here is Tim taking his turn. Surprisingly none of the boys pulled the sword out. {now that I think about it.... I should have had Steve try}
This is on Huckfinn's Island, and it's a barrel bridge. {there are barrels under it to keep it floating} I just want to let you all know to be careful. You can fall while you are on it.We went to drive the cars. I was totally looking forward to this. I remember these from when I was little. Just so you all know there is a reason why you have to be 16 to legally drive. First I guess it's the maturity factor... and for two.... you have to be able to see over the steering wheel.
Tim like just being a passenger.
And James.... he is a really bad driver.... good thing it's on some sort of track.
The Merry-go-Round was fun {I don't' remember the last time I rode one} and the line was so fast {yeah for fast lines}
Just a good picture of Steve
The last ride that we rode on, it's a classic and has to be done.
*The boys were so funny... they are roller coaster junkies! {Steve is happy about that} They {James and Tommy}were able to go on every ride except the Indiana Jones. And get this.... Tim was able to go on the Matterhorn! And he LOVED it. We got off and he kept saying "Again, again".
*Tommy's favorite ride was the Thunder Mountain Railroad, and James' was Space Mountain
*We had one accident... Tommy peed his pants.
*Tommy got lost... fortunately it was only for like 10 minutes and he learned that he needs to stay close. {but really talk about a frantic mom!}
*We were eating too much to do the Tea Cups.
*Of course we did "It's a Small World" but it's not like I remembered
*The boys did great walking back and forth {about a half mile each way} It was a good thing... then I didn't feel bad about all the junk that I ate.
*We probably visited every bathroom in Disneyland at least once.
*I didn't really like Toon town.
*Donald was no where to be found
*The best way to get around the park is to use the train.
*Everything tastes better in Disneyland {except maybe turkey legs}
*I love that everyone is in character all the time.
*Steve beat me twice in the Buzz Lightyear ride.... {I think some how he cheated... I just don't know how}
*Taking Eliza was totally the best idea ever!!
*I can't wait to go back!!!
ALL of the boys had fun. And I did too. It was a lot of fun making some new memories in Disneyland. I can't wait to go back.
