Living in Arizona means that we get to enjoy the monsoons! The day will start off pretty hot, and continue to warm up through out the day. Then the clouds roll in and the rain starts. Today I had dinner in the crockpot {which didn't really turn out} so I convinced Tommy to come play outside with me. {he is afraid that he is going to melt if he gets to wet... but we worked through that.} Tim was all ready and excited to go outside. James was happy to know that we were all going out to play.
I thought about getting my camera but decided not to focus on the pictures and just be totally in the moment of playing with my boys in the rain.
We ran up and down the gutters and "watched for the flood." We took turns chasing each other, Tommy wanted to "swirl in the flood." Tim ran back and forth to each side of the street. James was having fun kicking the water up to see how high he could splash.
It was wonderful! The rain was warm, and along with the sweet smell of the rain, you could smell the lavender from the bushes around the neighborhood. Nobody was outside, so all you heard was the rain coming down and the laughter from the boys. It was shear joy.
It was a perfect afternoon!!!

If that's the case, you guys are going to love rainy season in Florida. Daily rain from May to September. 100% humidity when it's raining, 100% humidity when it's not... YEA!
Stopping by from SITS and wanted to say hi. I love playing in the rain, especially when it's warm. Sounds like you guys made the most of yours.
Have a great day.
