My favorite book growing up was "Maude and Claude Go Abroad" by Susan Meddaugh. I remember my mom reading me this book as a kid with all the voices. Oh I loved it!! A brother and sister fox are on a ship that will take them to Fox-in-ville, France when unexpectedly Claude fell over board.... and Maude went in after him "...what else could she do, but jump over too...?" And then the adventure starts.
I read it to my boys now, voices and all.
{this book is well loved we have lost the cover and it's taped up on many pages. We have bought another one and it's set aside for when we can no longer operate on this one}

Sounds like a fun book. I will have to look for it on our next library visit!
I woke up thinking about you this morning. Weird? kind of. I know our husbands were great friends growing up, and we did a few things when we lived close to each other, but I didn't know you very well. I feel like you have become a good friend because of our blogs. I feel like if we lived close by we would be even better friends. You amaze me with all you do. You are a great mommy, teacher, homemaker, and friend to many. Thanks for being my friend. And maybe someday we will be able to get together.
I know food storage is important but BOOK storage is also a serious matter. :) Nothing worse than wearing out your favorite books!
(Just visiting from WW.)
That sounds like a fun book, I'll have to look for it!
And hi from one mom of boys to another!
Sweet book. I am going to try to find it.
(also, I have 3 boys...it is awesome to be out numbered with all the little men!) :)
I have never heard of that book, but it sounds so good! I am going to hunt that one down. :)
I have never heard of this one. It sounds really fun. I will have to track down a copy if I can.
Books make such great memories.
One of my boys favorite books is fireman small. It is in similar condition to yours. We also like the lion and the little red bird, its great for learning colors.
How awesome that you can read it to your boys now!
I've never read that book. Is it still in print?
Book storage as Meg called it is what I have too! I have several copies of some of my absolute favorites just in case anything happens to the current copy.
Sounds like a fun story! I'll have to check it out.
I've never heard of this one but I'll have to look for it. It reminded me of a bunch of other books I wished I'd posted about!
